The Elliot AED does not use a sealed proprietary battery pack. It runs on four standard CR123A lithium cells that the owner replaces by hand. The cells are off the shelf and available from any battery retailer, so the only parts to order from HeartHero are the caddy and the door.
The glow in the dark battery caddy holds the four CR123A cells and slots into the device. The replacement battery door seals the battery bay with a gold plated, corrosion resistant contact that maintains the IP rating. CR123A cells are not included.
HeartHero ships the Elliot with Duracell CR123A cells, which carry a shelf life of up to 10 years. The AED self tests daily and alerts when power is low.
